Website for Your Facebook Page: Make One Free (2026)
Short answer: you can make a free website for your Facebook page with Google Sites, a link-in-bio page, your WhatsApp Business catalog link, or a free store builder. Then paste the link into the Links section of your Page, under Edit. If you sell products, the most useful link is one that shows every product with its price, so customers stop asking "how much?" in the inbox.
This guide is for sellers who already have a page and want a real link to put on it. It covers what the Facebook field takes, the free options side by side with their real costs, how to build one step by step, and when you are better off with the page alone. We checked Meta's help pages and each tool's pricing page on 2 October 2026.
Do you need a website if you have a Facebook page?
Not always. A Facebook page is good at bringing people in: posts, shares, groups and boosts. It is weak at the next step, which is showing someone everything you sell with prices, sizes and the delivery charge. That step happens in the inbox, one customer at a time.
A website or store link starts to pay off when:
- You have more products than fit in a few posts, and old posts get buried.
- You spend hours a day answering the same price and delivery questions.
- Customers find you outside Facebook, on Instagram, WhatsApp or Google, and need one link.
- You want the order written down with the address and total, not spread over 15 messages.
You never have to leave the page. The page finds customers, and the link closes the sale. Our Bangla post on moving from f-commerce to your own website works through the hidden costs of selling from a page only.
What can you put in the Facebook page Website field?
In the current Pages layout there is no single "Website" box any more. Meta's help page "Add information to your Page" lists a Links section for "links to your websites", and a Contact info section for social media links, phone and email. To edit it:
- Switch to your Page from your profile.
- On the Page, tap Edit.
- Tap the pencil next to the field you want to change, and paste your link.
Meta notes that this feature is not yet available to everyone, so a Page still on the older layout may show the fields under About instead. Only people with Facebook access to the Page can change them.
Any public web address works. A good one for a shop:
- Opens on a phone without a login or a "request access" screen. A Google Drive folder often fails here.
- Starts with https, so browsers do not show a warning.
- Shows prices. A link that only says "message us" sends the customer straight back to the inbox.
- Is short enough to type or say out loud.
The action button is a second place for the link
Every Page can have one action button under the cover photo. Meta's help page says to open your Page, click Options, then Add action button (or Edit action button), pick a button and follow the steps. Many sellers use it to open a WhatsApp chat and keep the store link in the Links section, so both are one tap away.
What are the free ways to make a website for a Facebook page?
Here are the real options, with what each one costs as of October 2026.
| Option | Cost | Shows prices and takes orders? | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Sites | Free with a Google account | Prices if you type them in. No cart or order form. | A simple info page: about, contact, a few photos |
| Link-in-bio page (Linktree) | Free plan with unlimited basic links. Starter is $6 a month paid yearly, or $8 monthly. | No. A list of links. | Sending people to your page, WhatsApp and catalog from one link |
| WhatsApp Business catalog link | Free app | Prices, yes. The cart sends items and quantities, not the address or delivery charge. | Customers who already chat with you on WhatsApp |
| WhatsApp store builder | Free plans exist, each with limits | Yes. Products, a checkout form, and the order sent to your WhatsApp. | Facebook and Instagram sellers who take cash on delivery |
| Shopify | Basic $19 a month paid yearly, after a 3-day trial and $1 a month for 3 months | Yes, with its own card checkout | Card payments, large catalogs, many add-ons |
| Facebook Shops | Free where available | Depends on your country | Businesses in supported countries |
A few notes on the table:
- Google Sites can use your own domain later. Its help page says you can connect up to five custom domains to one site.
- WhatsApp catalog holds up to 500 items, and every item waits for WhatsApp's review before customers see it. Our guide to creating a WhatsApp store for free compares the catalog and store builders in detail.
- Shopify prices are from shopify.com/pricing on 2 October 2026, shown to a US visitor (Basic is $25 a month if you pay monthly). The page may show different prices in your country. Shopify adds a 2% fee on Basic if you use a payment provider other than its own. Our Shopify alternatives in Bangladesh post compares paid builders in taka.
- Facebook Shops: Meta's commerce eligibility page says your business must be located in a supported country, and its Shops page says some Shops and checkout features are no longer supported. We could not find a Meta page that confirms Bangladesh, so do not plan around it until Commerce Manager lets you in.
How do you turn your page's products into a website?
The tool matters less than the preparation. These steps work with any option above.
- Pick your best 10 to 20 products. Start with what sells, not everything you have ever posted. You can add more later.
- Write each one down: a short name, the price, sizes or colours, and how many you have. A notebook or a Google Sheet is fine.
- Get one clear photo per product. Use your best photo from the page, or take a new one in daylight on a plain background.
- Decide your delivery charges. For example inside Dhaka, the suburbs, and outside Dhaka. Base them on what your courier really charges.
- Build the site or store with the tool you chose, and add the products.
- Place a test order from another phone. Check the price, size, delivery charge and total.
- Put the link everywhere (next section).
What step 5 looks like on a store builder
On Kommercly, which we make, it works like this as of October 2026. You sign up with a store name, your email and the WhatsApp number where orders should arrive, and get a store at yourname.kommercly.com. You add products from your phone with a photo, a name and a price. You can set sizes with their own price, stock, offers and delivery areas with their charges. When a customer orders, the order opens in WhatsApp with the items, the delivery area and the total written out. The free plan has 0% commission and up to 20 products, and the store shows "Powered by Kommercly". It does not take payments or book couriers: you collect cash on delivery or bKash yourself and book the courier yourself. The setup guide shows every screen.
For the photos in step 3, our guide to product photography with a phone shows a home setup with window light and a plain white background.
How do you add the link to your page, Instagram bio and WhatsApp profile?
One link, in every place a customer might look. Menu names move often, so if a step looks different on your phone, search the app's help for the words in bold.
- Facebook Page: Edit, then the pencil next to Links. Paste the full address. Add it to the action button too, if your button choice allows a website.
- Pinned post: write one post that says what you sell, the delivery areas, and "all prices here:" with the link, then pin it to the top of your Page.
- Every product post: end with the link, so a shared post still leads back to you.
- Instagram: on the app, Edit profile, then Links, then Add external link.
- WhatsApp Business: open Settings, then your business profile, and fill in the Website field. Add it to your greeting message and to a quick reply as well.
- Facebook and Messenger auto replies: put the link in your instant reply, so the first answer a customer gets already has the prices.
Our Bangla post on Facebook page auto replies has instant reply texts with the link already in them.
Facebook page vs website: which one brings more orders?
We do not have a fair number for this, and you should be careful with anyone who quotes one. They do different jobs, so the useful question is which part of the sale each one handles.
| Facebook page only | Page plus a store link | |
|---|---|---|
| How people find you | Posts, shares, groups, boosts | The same, plus your bio, WhatsApp and Google |
| How they see prices | They ask in the inbox | On the link, before they message |
| How the order reaches you | Many messages that you piece together | One message with items, address and total |
| What happens if the page is restricted | You lose your shop window | The link still works and shows your products |
| Your time | Grows with every new message | Mostly confirming orders |
To find out for your own shop, count for two weeks: how many orders came straight from the link, and how many came from the inbox. Then decide where to spend your time.
If you have not picked a shop name yet, pick one that also works as a short link. Our Bangla post on online business name ideas shows how to check a name in 5 steps.
When is a website the wrong move?
Skip it, or wait, if:
- Every item is one of a kind or made to order, and the price depends on a conversation, for example custom tailoring or cakes designed per customer. A store page cannot show a price that does not exist yet.
- You have fewer than five products and orders are rare. A good pinned post and a WhatsApp button do the job.
- You sell by live video, one piece at a time. The live comments are your shop.
- You will not keep it updated. A site with old prices and sold-out stock is worse than no site. Pick a tool you can update from your phone in a minute.
- You need card payments before you ship. Then a builder with its own checkout, such as Shopify, fits better than a WhatsApp store, ours included.
Quick answers
Can I make a website for my Facebook page for free?
Yes. Google Sites is free with a Google account, a Linktree page is free with basic links, and the WhatsApp Business catalog gives you a free link to your products. Many WhatsApp store builders have free plans that turn your products into a store link. Free plans have limits, such as a product cap or the builder’s name on the page, so read them first.
Where do I add a website link on my Facebook page?
In the Links section of your Page. Meta’s help page says to switch to your Page, tap Edit, then tap the pencil next to the field you want to change. Paste the full address, starting with https. You can also add an action button from Options on your Page, and put the link in your pinned post and every product post.
Is a Facebook page enough for a small business?
For many sellers, yes, at the start. A page brings people in through posts, shares and ads. It gets harder when you have more than a handful of products, because every customer asks the price, the size and the delivery charge in the inbox. A website or store link answers those questions before the customer messages you.
Can I use Facebook Shops instead of a website?
Only if your business qualifies. Meta’s commerce rules say your business must be located in a supported country, among other requirements, and its Shops help page says some Shops and checkout features are no longer supported. We could not confirm on Meta’s own pages that Bangladesh is a supported country, so check Commerce Manager before you plan around it.
Do I need a domain name for my Facebook page website?
No. A free address from a store builder or Google Sites works in the Facebook Links field, an Instagram bio and a WhatsApp profile. A domain of your own, such as yourshop.com, looks more established and can be added later. Google Sites lets you connect up to five custom domains to one site, according to its help page.
If a store link is the right next step for you, you can make one from your phone: Create my free store. Then paste the link into the Links section of your Page.
